What different of TaqMan probe and Molecular Beacon probe ?

Why a reporter of TaqMan will be cleaved, but not for a reporter of Molecular Beacons ?

Molecular beacon assays use a DNA polymerase lacking 5' exonuclease activity. Therefore the probe is only displaced but not destroyed during amplification. In contrast to TaqMan assays reporter and quencher are not separarted by cleavage but by probe linearization, resulting in reporter fluorescence.
