siRNA causing no protein knockdown - (Jul/11/2007 )

Hi,

I am having some trouble with my siRNA experiments. I could only got mRNA knockdown (~70%), but no protein knockdown with one type of cells. However I got both mRNA and protein knockdown with another type of cells (same target gene). Could anyone give me any advices or suggestions? Thanks!

The turnover of your protein could be longer in these cells resulting in only mRNA knockdown. For some cells, you need to knockdown and wait for a few days before the protein level goes down.
