how to investigate the mechamnism? - (Jul/08/2007 )
hi,
i am testing a compound anticancer effect on ht29. my supervisor asked me to investigate into the molecular level. i plan to do mtt, flow with pi, tunel. but those are just the screening assay, anyone know how can we investigate the molecular mechanism that confers it the anticancer property?

I am no expert but just a suggestion.
I would guess you need to look at the changes in levels of oncogenes (or a particular oncogene) and their transcriptional factors. This might suggest where the drug might be acting. And modification would suggest how they act.
Good Luck !!!
