Re-using Poly-D-Lysine? - (Jul/05/2007 )

Has anyone ever heard of re-using PDL? After the PDL is put onto coverslips or dishes, it seems a waste to toss it. I know that collagen can be collected and re-used, and if we could do the same with PDL it would sure save $$$! smile.gif
Thanks for any advice.

PDL is too cheap that I wouldnt reuse it. It costs us $ 26 and it lasts for atleast 6 months. I would spend more money and time if it didnt work optimally because I was reusing it.

We reuse PDL up to five times without having problems.

Thanks for the replies, folks.
The type that we use costs about 150.00 each: at present it lasts for about 2 months. You know how it is-any savings can be a bonus these days. Chakchel, how do you store the PDL after you re-collect it? Do you re-freeze it or put it in the fridge?

We store it (after filtering) in the fridge - but of course in a seperate bottle, which we mark for every time we use it...
And you should seal it tightly to make sure that it can't get exposed to moisture.
