Roller bottle device - (Jun/25/2007 )

Hello, I'm currently culturing transfected 293H cells and trying to get them to produce some recombinant protein into conditioned media. They are currently being cultured in 175 cm2 flasks but I've been thinking of using some 850cm2 roller bottles. The problem is that it seems to be pretty difficult to find the machines that roll the roller bottles especially from here in Australia.

So has anyone used these devices? Any idea where to get good ones that will work in a CO2 incubator? Thanks

We use a Wheaton Roller apparatus. There are several available from Fisher. We use it in a Thermo Forma reach in C02 incubator. I don't know if you are looking for something this big (it holds ~50 bottles) but Fisher or VWR would probably be a good place to start.

Yeah that's probably a little too big. I need it for 2 roller bottles at a time. It's not going to be THAT large scale.
