The doubling time of the Fibroblasts - (Jun/12/2007 )

Hi everybody,


does anyone have idea of the doubling time of the Fibroblasts(ATCC CRL-2014 ).


please let me know about the seeding density in 96 cell well plate.

I don't use the fibroblast you mention above, but my fibroblast has doubling time of 22 hrs. you can actually request the info from ATCC. they will get back to you the next day.
Or do a simple growth curve to check the doubling time.

My supervisor will always remind me that to check the doubling time for a new cells/cells from old stock by doing the growth curve. then compare the time with info fr ATCC to see if the cells healthy/still in good condition.
If your cells' doubling time different (eg. too slow) compare to ATCC info, then you should think about getting another vial.
