Primer tag info - (Jun/06/2007 )

Hello everyone,
I have always wondered wht does all the information on the label of newly ordered primer means like-
For eg:
1)Scale of synthesis: 50N
2)Tm (1M Na+): 102.00
3)Tm (50mM Na+): 80.00
4) OD's: 3.33
5) ug's: 94.65
6) nmoles: 7.4
7) ug per OD: 28.44
8) nmoles per OD: 2.21
why is all this information important and how is it important? why do we place primer orders in moles (nano/micro) #6 above?

Your detailed explanation will be appreciated.

Thanks,
PS

That is a good review of some of them. I think placing the order in moles might be specific to where you are ordering. I just specify the sequence and scale, and get a different amount of moles each time, depending on the length. I'd suspect you order in nano or micro moles as that makes the working concentration calculations easier.
