Total proteins extraction - (Jun/05/2007 )

Hi, Im trying to extract total proteins from the spear leaf of oil palm but to no avail. The protocol that im using is acetone/TCA-based. The yield was ok with the mesocarp tissues but not from the spear leaf. I have tried several other protocols but still unable to extract an satisfactory quantity of total proteins (not visible from the sds-page). have anyone here has any suggestion to my problem? thanks
