MIF cells? - (May/02/2007 )

I heard someone referring to MIF cells, supposedly something to do with heart development or cardiac myocytes or something. May be some type of stem cells. Anyway, I was trying to figure out what type of cells those are. I think they are primary cells, isolated from a dog I beleive. The person is not around anymore otherwise I would just ask him what cells he was referring to.

Has anyone heard of these types of cells? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've been exhausting my resources trying to figure out what type of cells these are. I don't think it has anything to do with macrophage/migration inhibitory factor, but I suppose it may.
