castrate male mice before puberty? - (Apr/19/2007 )

Hello,

In my lab, we usually castrate male mice at 8 weeks, after they have reached puberty. Does anyone know if it is possible to castrate mice before 8 weeks/puberty is reached? I would be very interested to know.
