CFP-protein - fuses proteins (Apr/14/2007 )

Hi
If I crea a fusion protein by potine the protein A in C terminal in the CFP vector (CFP-A) should I remove the ATG of my protein?
is it critical because the transcription could start from the CFP ATG or from the A ATG. in this cae I may get my full lenght fused protein and only the CFP.
any advice?
