PCR protocols - for some antibiotic resistant strains (Apr/12/2007 )
Hey,
I was wondering if anyone has the PCR protocols for these strains of bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus spp, Acinetobacter baumannii, Klebsiella spp
plz post any info on identification primers and also antibiotic resistant genes/primers available
you'd really make my life a lot easier!

if you want resistance gene primers, the best place to go is www.pubmed.com and do a literature search
likewise with pcr conditions. it will be different for each set of primers, and is not organism-specific. the only thing that will change between one bacterium and the next, is the DNA extraction protocol.
