P.s. Hopefully nobody is offended by this comment, sorry if I did.

We’re treading on touchy ground here hobglobin. I’m not offended by honesty but I’m a bit annoyed by the generalizations although I can see your point. It has always been Cinderella for Prince Charming, Snow White for the Prince, Sleeping Beauty for the Prince and only in Disney’s version you’d find Princess Jasmine for Alladin, the street rat. biggrin.gif

And your take is even better: powerful women for powerful men…powerful men for inferior women…inferior women for inferior men…reminds me of a line from ‘Are men necessary’ by Maureen Dowd “The aroma of male power is aphrodisiac for women while the perfume of female power is a turnoff for men”. Personally, I don’t agree with the aphrodisiac part but the perfume turnoff has probably a seed of truth in it (based on what we see around us).

As high k-strategists, humans must strive to have better quality of life as well as offsprings and tradeoffs are usually factored into this strategy. But why is it then easier for a woman and rarely for a man to accept the lower status, the position of less power within a union? And why are a lot of men intimidated by powerful women? I think it all boils down to male pride and arrogance tongue.gif so shoot me.

Right now, you put your blinders on and set your selection criteria- she can’t be richer, smarter, more connected or more educated than I am…because if she were she won’t even look at me. Then once you’re in the top position you'd surely modify this previous set of criteria and most probably you wouldn’t even have an inkling if a woman is really interested in you or just in your money and status but who cares, you're already up there right? cool.gif

Now going back to the original premise that powerful men will only seek inferior women and powerful women will only reject inferior men- this doesn’t paint a nice picture of women in general don’t you think?

If woman are inteligent by nature why did they get dominated by males right from the time of humakind came to this world. And its not only the humans look at the animals u will in most of the animals the males are powerfull..the males are beautifull amd smarter.
in most of the animals its the female to lookafter the kids in their nest or den or what ever that may be and the males to searhc for food.

-alichem-

That is labelled as "male domination" supposed to be natural phenomenon but in course of time wise humans made it look ugly.

Humans are smarter animals so they could sense that every one deserves equal opportunity and in no way are the females inferior. So that at might be said something we are doing against nature; but nature is a strong force and sometimes we do give up and that is when a conflict is created.

I think "males domination", in the past, was due to their strength rather than their intelligence.
Nowaday, women work in many different fields, as there are more jobs that do not require strength.
In addition, jobs that require lots of physical energy are still dominated by male, such as bricklayer...you hardly heard a woman bricklayer.

but I have heard of female wrestlers and weight-lifters.

Yes, but for both genders, keyword: assortative mating. And it is just a trend. Not all follow unconditionally their evolutional trait (or is it a cultural one, there were some matricharial societies...).
And for myself I not feel guilty and it is not my problem, as it is not my strategy. I 'm not interested in an inferior (dump/non-educated/what you want) woman, but this makes it more difficult to find someone, that's my experience. blink.gif
Some more bashing: perhaps, if evolution goes on, all jobs are equaly filled, and everything seems perfect, then all woman will look more like wrestlers & weight-lifters tongue.gif
And we have a very centred look to the west, in other cultures, in our point of view, situation is much bader, but there is more social order and no missing reproduction wink.gif . But this is another topic.

Oh yeah??? Then who’s got a higher fatality rate due to RTA (road traffic accident)- check out the latest WHO report on road safety? Who pays higher car insurance? Who speeds more, drinks more, takes more risks? Who drives more powerful engines as a reflection (extension?) of their machismo and then thinks that a cut in front of them is an assault on their manhood? Who would rather die than stop to ask for directions? tongue.gif
