Woman: The most evolved species? - (Mar/14/2007 )
Why created god females so beautiful? Because he wanted men to fall in love with women. And why he created women a little bit stupid? Because he wanted that women can fall in love with men.

Hopefully nobody is offended, with my translations there is maybe some misrepresentation

You should get the first joke 'more' right:
Of course God created Adam first. She was preparing for the main event.

continuing on with the first story......
Had God given Adam an easy "instruction for dummies" on how not to be tempted and mislead by the cunning serpent, he [Adam] would have eaten it instead of the forbidden fruit and this would've saved humankind from The Fall.

and finally a feminist joke (hopefully will not offend the insecure)...
What does a man have in common with a sperm? They both have a one-in-several-million chance of becoming a "real" human being.

Vive le difference!!
casandra, providing comic relief
i thought eve gave the apple to adam
Did you have to point out that tiny inconsequential detail? What a spoilsport!

And now a serious question....
Are feminists justified in thinking that there is a masculine bias in science? Or more precisely, are feminists (esp radical ones- N Tuana, D Harraway, H Longino and co) justified in assailing the masculine bias in science?
Mmmm....
A grumbling reply:
Q: Why was Adam created first?
A: To give him a chance to say something.

And a really cheesy one:

I think science is without gender, at least in natural science, in the humanities (phiolosophy, social science etc) I 'm not so sure. The approach of a "fem science" was not so convincing. And medical science, with predominantly male laboratory subjects, but is medicine a real science?

A grumbling reply:

Oh yeah and Eve was definitely impressed by all the grunting, moaning and the groaning (and the occasional yoddling)

Now would have been the best time for him to say something (better yet do something)....
Alas the lot of women since the beginning of time...

I personally think there is definitely a masculine bias in science
anyone who's ever witnessed the 'old boy network' knows that one.
are radical feminists justified in flipping out over it? that's another question. I think that's a whole lot of activism that won't change a thing.
I also don't believe that women and men are interchangeable in science; we often think differently and approach problems from a different direction. I'm not saying one gender is better; I'm just saying it's like apples to oranges in some respects, when you try to make these comparisons

At least the "housekeeping" genes seem to be more evolved in women

But slow down that's the real situation:

[attachment=2770:pton123l.jpg]
With respect to the pictures posted in abouve few posts, I know a very good animated gif(which am not able to trace even through google now) which has evolution of a man and woman parallely starting from microbe>multicellular>amphibian>small rodent>big mammal>monkey and suddenly for men it stops there and for women it continues till a woman!!!
... the debate continues

I know only this. Saw it in a female professors room on the wall. Stupid idea to show it

[attachment=2771:Evolutio...uthority.gif]

And I guess you men have an over-expression of the “control” genes or the homo sapiens equivalent of the “boss” gene,.. no wait, I get it….how about an over-abundance of the “slob” genes

“housekeeping” genes- clever, very funny, I can’t up that one hobglobin…and now if you’ll just excuse me, I have to go back to my vanity mirror..I need to fix my hair and make-up, all this thinking and conversing is not good for my skin. We’re not only more evolved in the housekeeping domain you know. BTW is there a “primping” gene? I'm quite sure I have a zillion copies of it. And so the debate continues…but only after I’ve had my beauty rest over the weekend.
