Western blot sample storage - (Mar/12/2007 )

Hi all,

I am wondering if once serum samples are diluted with the appropriate amount of loading buffer, reducing agent and water if they can be stored at 4C or if they need to be at -20C??

Thanks in advance for the help! smile.gif

I also use serum samples for WB and after diluting them and adding Laemmli buffer I store them at -20ºC, much better than 4ºC.

better -20°C than 4°C, however, for SDS-PAGE it is recommended to add sample buffer freshly before loading of gels
