DNA isolation method form CSF - (Mar/01/2007 )

Hi friends,

can anyone tell me the good protocol for DNA isolation from CSF samples. i m using CTAB_phenol Chloroform method right now. but that is not very effective.

i want bacterial DNA (M.tuberculosis) and also viral (but very few times).
commercial kit i cant use due to financial constraint. i ve to isolate 200 samples per month for research purpose. so i m in search for some in-house method. i tried once with commercila kit. but it doesnt work well in case of CSF. from other body fluid, i can isolate the same.
pls suggest.
