L15 medium - has any body used it? (Feb/27/2007 )
hai
are there people here who are using leibovitz medium (L15) for bypassing co2 buffering.
i am currently trying to standardise but the cells are not pretty healthy looking. any experiences with this cud be of great help.

Hey there
I started off using L-15 for my MDA-MB-231 cells; however they grew really slow and were very sad to look at! And this medium is quite expensive too. So on a whim I changed a flask to 10% DMEM/F-12 to see how they would react and they've been growing beautifully since then. Grow much faster, and look healthy too.
