finding conserved regions between 2 different promoter sequences - (Feb/23/2007 )

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to compare two promoter sequences for two different genes.
Those genes have the same spatiotemporal expression pattern and we think that they can be regulated by the same factors.
In fact, we want to identify conserved sequences between this 2 promoter regions.
Do you have any idea about how I can do that?

thank's for your help!

Enter both sequences into a program that identifies cis elements, i.e. sequences that bind transcription factors. Then you can identify common transcription factors potentially regulating both promoters.
