mouse unmethylated DNA control - (Feb/14/2007 )

Hello.

I want to research DNA methylation status in mouse cancer model.
So, I need to get the mouse genomic DNA as a unmethylated DNA control.
But, I can't find any company to buy it.

Where can I get it from?

You can use the Whole genome amplification Kit (Qiagen) to amplify the whole DNA. The amplified DNA is virtually free of methylation. If it is just a fragment (e.g. promoter) that you are interested in, you can amplify it by a conventional PCR. Your amplicon is free of methylation.
