Nla III digestion - (Feb/05/2007 )
Hi,
I want to ask if any one had done the the genomic DNA digestion using Nla III?
I tried once but it gave a smear band from the range 300bp to 2.5kbp.
Is it normal? Is it usually won't have a sharp band appear?

Erm.... Smear band just means either you have too concentrated genomic DNA or your digestion is so good that it has multiple cuts on your DNA.
Well, if you have alot of common restriction sites on your genomic DNA, i am sure you wouldnt get any sharp bands. Hope it helps.
