transgene and knock-in - (Jan/29/2007 )

Hi all,

I'm pretty new in the molecular biology field and I'm facing one question : what is the difference between a transgenic mouse and a knock-in mouse ?
I did some research but I'm not really satisfied with the answers I got so I would appreciate if somebody could explain that to me.
