A 270 for RNA - (Jan/25/2007 )

Hi!
I am extracting mRNA from adherent monolayer cells using Qiagen RNeasy kit. Till now I did not have any problem with the kit and got a good yield till now.
But this time when I checked the spectra of the extracted mRNA using nanodrop I found that absorption maxima for the peak is at 270 instead for 260. Also the 260/280 ratio for most of the samples is >2 (around 2.2-2.35)
Does anyone have any idea what this means?
Any kind of feedback and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Di you check h accuracy of UV lamp?
Once mine was bad calibrate and the 260 length was shown as 265...
