C group Plasmids? - (Jan/16/2007 )

I want a plasmid that is not compatible with the E. coli O157 plasmid (pO157). I have info telling me that C Group plasmids are not compatible with pO157. The info also says pO157 is also very similar to F-factor and plasmid R100.

What are some plasmids that are in the C Group?

I've looked at the ATCC and found that most of the plasmids named pC---- are for Staphylococcus. The references list the use of them in E. coli as well.

Am I on the right track looking at the ATCC? Do I just look for a "C" after the "p" in the plasmid name to tell me that it's in the C Group?

Browsing through those links it appears that the authors introduced the incC sequences into a general plasmid.

I was hoping that I could find a commercial source for a plasmid that was not compatible with pO157.
