Answer/Question Chain - reveal yourself (Jan/05/2007 )

We usually do this whenever we have new kids in our class or when we’re bored or waiting for something to happen. Maybe we can try this one on this board. It’s very simple- a member first answers the question of the previous poster and ends with a question to be answered by the next poster and this goes on and on. There are few ground rules:

1. try to ask questions which don’t require factual (‘googleable’) answers i.e. don’t ask who is who or who did what or who did what to whom wink.gif but we may ask the how, the why or the what if. The questions can range from the mundane to the sublime- anything goes…;

2. you can’t answer your own question therefore no consecutive posting;

3. you can ask the same question you just answered if you really want to know other people’s answers BTW a particular question can be asked as many times as we want (better yet we can start a new thread on it);

4. to add a new twist, you can direct your question to a particular member but there’s always a possibility that s/he may be unwilling or unable to answer your question. We will decide if we reach this point but meanwhile the object of this game is not to break the chain.

So how about it guys? It would be fun! Take a break from the pipetting- wouldn’t it be interesting to get a glimpse of another person’s mind (or heart or whatever…). Let’s begin:

A hypothetical previous poster asks:
Are you a cat person or a dog person?

Next poster casandra answers:
Definitely dog but since I developed allergies when I was a kid, I would consider myself a ‘dog lover from afar’ kind of person (you actually don’t need any qualifier or improv but this is casandra’s answer after all- so just be yourself).

My question (for real this time):
What would you rather be doing at this very moment?

-casandra-

I like the game! biggrin.gif My answer: I would be rather playing with my baby son wub.gif . My question: What will you spend 1000$ on if you have it as a gift?

My question: If you could change 1 thing about yourself or your life, what would it be?

I would definitely not do science. I would get a major in accounting, finance and actuarial.

My question: Are you a successful researcher?

What I did was move country to somewhere that had plenty of jobs (Australia to England).

My Q:What drink would someone have to offer you that you couldn't refuse?

-swanny-

Hm, at this moment, it would be a big Starbucks Caffe Mocca with whipping at chocolate on top. Mjam smile.gif

Q: When you were free to choose: At which place and in which time would you like to live?

-biomaus-

Not in the past, (not so good for women), I'm not sure future will be better, so I like today, and I like Geneva. Living in a not too big city is fine for me. However I would also appreciate living in a southern city, where weather is better, maybe in Spain, Barcelona for example.

Q : what would you do if you would win 1,000,000 € or USD ?

A: I would build Immunology Lab with nice facilities. When I would still have some bucks, I would arrange to visit my top 5 countries: Germany, Holland, USA, Japan, and Mexico biggrin.gif

Q: What will you do if one day you found all your lab mice are gone/stolen and nothing left in your lab? (Based on my original experience doh!)

Launch your own investigation- check out the cafeteria for today’s specials (pheeww) wacko.gif, I mean , check the other rooms of your animal facility. They’re tagged and must have been 'taken' somewhere-so you must follow the evidence- CSI-style. biggrin.gif

We had a rainy, green Christmas, then 2 days of snow which was washed off again by more rain. Last Saturday was sunny and practically summer for us- +10°C. It snowed last night but we’re immersed again in a lot of water today. I may have bitched a lot in the past about our cold bum-freezing weather but I suddenly realized that I want our Canadian winters back.

My Q:
Do you think that global warming is just a concept being flaunted by the alarmists and the conspiracy theorists?
