I did 2 beautiful SDS gels loaded them carefully and .... ran the gel in the wrong direction. For the next time..!!!! Note: red plug into red socket- black plug into black socket !!!!

In case it comforts you, the same happened to me a month ago...
I think that this is something that must happen to everybody who wants to became an authentic researcher If these kind of things don´t happen to you once (once, no more) you are not a real researcher. These mistakes happen to select people, those who stand, will become better scientists
Don´t worry, tomorrow you will think about it as the "typical monday mistake"

i broke the SLA600TC rotor from the sorvall centrifuge...........

i put E-coli containing my plasmids into the autoclave instead of 37 waterbath shaker...

I wanted to load my sample between two wells of SDS acylamide gel.
Now my sample flood in the neighbourg well because I broke the wall between the two wells.
It should be the last figure for a paper to send before W-mas.
(originally the paper to send before my summer holydays...)

i'm in the almost same position. sending off a paper before x-mas... but need one last run picture. so 2 weeks ago, i asked the person who orders stuff to order me some buffers and the isotope. to make a long story short, she didn't (couldn't be bothered to do her job)... so i got quite upset at her, and now it will be here in a week. but that's too far away. so for now i'm playing macgyver using different isotopes to get this thing to work, which it isn't because she didn't order the stuff i needed. this is not the first time she's screwed me over like this. i should have learned the first time to really annoy the living snot out of her until my stuff arrives safely. so, because she nearly gave me an anneurism, i'm taking friday off.
