What style do scientific journals use to write the methods of an experiment? - (Nov/22/2006 )

How do they write it?
Do they just add the apparatus and describe the experiment?

I have not got access to a scientific journal so any help would be appreciated

Also if any one knows any link to website i can view a methods section please let me know!!

most journals provide sample copies;
open access journals are for free such as BMC, PLOTS or Molecular Systems Biology;
