Rabbit IgG Isotype Control for Co-ip - Need available antibodies (Nov/14/2006 )

Hi guys,
could anyone of u suggest a good rabbit Isotype Control for co-ip experiments since my first antibody is raised in rabbit . i gave a search on all company websites, they dont have one which is compatible for western blots. can i use ELISA/FACS compatible abs for the same?

there is to distinguish if a company definitely excludes a provided antibody for the use in Wb, or if it was not tested at all. So, ask the company for additional information what is known about your Ab of interest in Wb;

if there is no alternative Ab, I would try, it may succeed; the chance to get signals is better for a polyclonal than for a monoclonal... try different concentrations of Ab as there will be no recommendations for Wb
