ss DNA cutting endonucleases - Mbo I? (Nov/09/2006 )

Hi rolleyes.gif
Does somebody know where I can check whether the restriction endonuclease I use can digest ssDNA?
I haven't found anything about this kind of activity for Mbo I, does somebody know if it has it?
Thanks

Restriction enzymes, in general, will not cut ssDNA unless the DNA forms hairpins or dimers which are locally dsDNA having the RE recognition site.

MboI does not cut ssDNA.... unless the ssDNA foldsback on itself or dimerises to form small local dsDNA regions
