Dilution of glucose - (Nov/02/2006 )

Hi..
Pls help me.
I want to dilute the glucose for culture neural cell, so sould i dilute in distilled water or PBS?

I dont' think it matters too much...are you just making a supplement for your media? in which case it's already buffered, right? if you are adding the glucose suspension directly to the cells PBS would be good

just be sure to use tissue-culture grade; you don't want endotoxin in there messing with your cells

cell culture grade glucose diluted in PBS is what i used once upon a time. works well.
