Melting Curve/Sample analysis Question (PCR) - (Oct/30/2006 )

Hi-

If i wanted to end a pcr run with a melting curve analysis, would that affect my ability to visualize my samples on an agarose gel? i.e...would the melting curve alter or change the physical properties of a PCR products?

thanks

The melting curve is very short and it consists of 3 steps (95-60-95) very fast. I always have it at the end of my realtime. It will not affect the properties of the products.

Since the sequences are simply melting then rehybridizing, it should be the same sequence at the end of the run

great! thanks
