prevent cell attachment - (Oct/29/2006 )

Dear all

I am working on cell adhesion/attachment on peptide modified surfaces, unfortunately the cells are attaching to the test peptide as well as the control peptides. My protocol involves BSA blocking before attaching the cells, also the media is serum free and contains 1% BSA. I have also tried 4 different cell lines and I am getting the same result.

Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem or what could be causing the problem.

Thanks:)

What type of surface is it? Can you chemically include a PEG layer to prevent non-specific absorption and place your peptide on the tip of the PEG?

ITs a glass surface and Im using simple chemistry so including a PEG chain is task and not an option for me.
