Has anyone read about doing ChIP on tumor specimans? - (Oct/05/2006 )
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has ever come across a paper
where the investigators have performed ChIP analyses
on a tumor sample?
I suspect that technical issues with having a non-homogeneous
sample and a lack of sample size have prevented people from doing this type of study, but if anyone has come across anything please let me know.
Thanks,
Mike

Could you disrupt a tumor, fix the cells, and sort them through FACS for a particular marker of interest. THen, there is at least one method for running ChIP on VERY low numbers of cells, using carrier DNA.
