protein structure prediction - (Oct/05/2006 )

Hi,

I was wondering what programs are available online for free that I can input my amino acid sequence for a G protein receptor and generate a 2D schematic model for it with the amino acids displayed within the structure as it is in the attachment?

thanks smile.gif

Try www.expasy.ch , it has lots of modelling programs

Try Geneious (http://www.geneious.com/). It's a brilliant bioinformatics software and it's absolutely free. Hurray! biggrin.gif

Have a look at the screen shot.

You can also try Geneious Pro (it has a few extra features) or just download version 2.0.6, which is very similar. It includes tools for Sequence alignment and phylogenetics, Sequence analysis, Automatic search and storage of publications, BLAST, Protein structure viewing, NCBI, EMBL, etc.

Good Luck! smile.gif
