Mouse ES cell won't attach - (Sep/26/2006 )

we had cultured EB of mouse for 4days . Then we were going to let them attach to plate treated by gelatin, but 2days later ,EB still floated in the medium. Now we want to know this reason. ;

EBs needs other cell's extracellular matrix to attach, i.e. the feeders. Gelatin is not a good substrate because it lacks of many proteins for cell adhesion. Try with matrigel.
