hi,.
which fungi produces collagenase, and can y9u tel me the method of extraction and purification of collagenase from microbial source.

quite a few aspergillus produce collagenases (especially oryzae and sclerotiorum to name a couple)


it is extracellular so purification is pretty simple, (ammonium sulphate precipitation and gel filtration should just about do it, if you need it any purer you could do an extra clean up step using a monoS or mono Q column from amersham

if you are going to use klots of it it may be worth expressing it recombinantly.
