RNA at 50 degree overnite, degraded? - (Sep/17/2006 )
i have extracted RNA from cell line and accidentally left it overnight at 50 degree water bath.
do u think the RNA still can be used ?
Argh.. i very reluctant to run a RNA GEL to check.. Any idea?

Your RNA is probably degraded.
You may run this RNA sample if you have a spare well in a RNA gel.
Hope this help.

Agreed.
As Dr McCoy would say, "He's dead Jim"
But as Minnie suggested, run it in a spare lane.

You need to run it on a gel to know whether it is degraded or not (probably it is). No alternatives.
