blood collection from rabbit - (Aug/31/2006 )
does anyone have the experience in blood collection from rabbit on its terminal procedure? what's the easiest way to do this, thanks

you may want to try cardiac puncture, but don't ask me how, i was never able to do it myself.

generally cardiac puncture is the way researchers used, the question is its the first time i contact with this kind of animal , so is there any other ways to collect blood from animals with rabbit size or larger.

if you want to terminate the animal then you can decapitate and collect the blood in a beaker as it is pumped out of the torso.
