How long can the whole cell extract for ChIP stay in -80C? - (Aug/31/2006 )

I have a cell lysate for ChIP which has been in -80C for over one month already. Is it OK to use them for another ChIP reaction? Does anyone know the maximum time for the lysate to stay in good quality in -80C? Thanks in advance.

Best,

Wei

We've regularly kept cell pellets, cell extracts, and sonicated chromatin at -80C for months with no problems.
