Urgent!About the seawater (K medium) handling - (Aug/29/2006 )
after making the seawater solution, i took it to autoclave, after sterilze, just left the solution in room temperature, but in the next day, i saw a serious precipitation inside the bottle (i can make sure that the elements are totally dissolved), how can i solve this problem? because my cells are going to do the culture, i am afriad the solution cannot be used anymore.

Do not autoclave!
obviously the heating makes something in the solution precipitate.
Does it need to be clear? If yes; solution can not be used.
Microfiltrate solution to sterilise.

Are u working with the seawater experiments now?
Since i hvae read some journals, some of them pointed out that the silicon (on the glass surface of bottle) react with the K medium to cause the precipitation
