Hela transfections - transfection problems (Aug/28/2006 )

Hello, we are having difficulties in transfecting Hela using calcium chloride-BES method. We get around 80% efficiancy using same plasmid and same transfection protocol in 293T.
Need help to do transfection in Hela using CaCl2-BES method.

Hela not so easy to transfect as 293 cells, maybe using fugen of lipofectamin, but with Calcium phosphate, i dont think youll get efficiencies as with 293, maybe you can electroporate.
It depends also in what u want to do.
for me transfection efficiencies of 30 or less percent were enough to do my experiments
