SK BR-3 human breast cancer cells. - Is it Bcl-2 negative or positive. (Aug/07/2006 )

Hi guys,
I am not sure of the answer..Some articles mention that SKBR-3 the her-2 overexpressing cell line is negative for Bcl-2 yet some others show blots which show the cells to strongly express Bcl-2. Who do i beleive??

well if 2publications shows contradictory results, cell lines are not egal. And you may have to check you cell line for it. or maybe contact the person who gave you the cell line if she/he did the control.

Thanks fred for the rsponse. I am still checking mine for any expression. We got it from ATCC. so i dont think they r going to be of any help...alos the paper that shows an expression of bcl-2 is one that was published in oncogene. anyway...am still checking.
