If is Kozak sequence(ccacc) needed when expressing a foreign protein in pEGFP-N1 - (Aug/01/2006 )

I want to express a protein in vector pEGFP-N1. Do I need put Kozak consensus before ATG initiation site?

Better have the Kozak.
