if you find one, for gosh sakes let me know, OK?

OH, hey, an often-overlooked resource right under your nose...when I first started realtime almost 3 years ago, was when I made my introduction to this site smile.gif I got some good tutorials and information on the differences between SYBR and probe-based realtime, and also I think there are some protocols over there that spell it out? it's always good to search the protocol section of this site, it's awesome and it grows all the time

it's not exciting blink.gif

I have a BS in Microbiology and a BS in Molecular Bio and Biochem. I am a research technician. I have also worked in the past as a public health microbiologist; I have roughly 10 years of total bench experience. So, I'm no guru and I'm certainly still learning too, but I've been around the block a few times and learned a few tricks rolleyes.gif

try SYTO9 instead of SYBR

See NAR paper SYTO9 vs. SYBR - it looks les inhibiting and
can be used at high concentrations

Try simple things

1. PubMed
2 type HOMEMADE SYBR REAL-TIME
3 press SEARCH

4. read papers- follow protocols

the same

2. SYBR SYTO9 REAL-TIME
