Finding promoter sequence of a gene - (Jul/22/2006 )

Hello,

How can I find the promoter sequence of a human gene?
In the genebank I kwnow how to get the coding sequence of a gene but I have failed to get the upstream non-coding sequence. Thanks

I'm sure there's probably an easy way...but I would Blast using the 5' end of the gene and look for contiguous sequences that are not cDNA
