Autofluorescence - (Jun/27/2006 )

Hi,

What are the factors influence with autofluorescence during live cell image. Tissue culture medium, FCS may cause autofluorescence?????????

The plates, the phenol in the medium, the cells themselves are autofluorescent. You can reduce the autofluorescence using low fluorescence plates and medium without phenol (invitrogen has it, I don't know about others), but you will always have a fluorescence coming from your cells
