translating introns??????? - (Apr/27/2002 )

Does anyone know if anyone has ever done a general translation of loads of introns to see if certain residues has a propensity to be found in them. I am trying to  find out whether this insert in a gene is an incorrectly spliced intron or is for real. Any ideas???????cheers, Dave.

Why not do a homology search? Depending upon which organism you are working with start with a homoly search then translation.
