salinity - salinity determination with a probe (May/24/2006 )

How can I determine salinity of a water. I have DO probe which can measure conductivity, DO and pH. In calibration mode I am asked to give a salinity value (for salinity correction). But the main thing that I wanted to know is already salinity ?¿
