Influenza inoculation of Hek293 cells - (Jul/14/2002 )

Hello everybody,

I am trying to infect Hek293 cells with influenza/A (allantoic fluid) and have been unable to do so...does anyone have a protocol or suggestion for doing this?

I'm not sure if you can do that. I never came across any paper indiacting infection of 293 cells with influenza A. Can I ask why you want to infect 293 in particular.
I know two cell lines you can infect viro and MDCK cells
