Which are true or false - (May/07/2006 )
can someone please tell me which are true or false
Which of the following statements about haemocytometry are TRUE?
1-When counting cells on a counting grid, all cells which overlap the borders of the square are counted.
2-A Neubaeur counting grid can be used to estimate the density of various cell types, including sperm.
3-To help count leucocytes, the blood sample is diluted with a weak acid solution to hemolyse the erythrocytes.
4-Wright's stain is used to dye the nuclei of white blood cells.
5-Cell counts are most accurate at the "tail" of a blood smear where cells are evenly distributed.
I think 2,3 and 5but not sure...
Thanks

Welcome to forum but not for getting homework done. Please.
Hi there....
Were practice q's for lab...not actual homework...
hi
i though as calvin at the beginning, but as you share your ideas, let's do the stuff.
1 : it's you that fix the rules of counting. All that overlap or none.
2 : yes
3 : i don't do that, but i think it's true. A google search should answer this point better.
4 : i don't know wright 's stain, but the great Wikipedia holds the answer.
5 : i don't have any idea.
so you were correct
