lamda DNA digested with HindIII - (Apr/09/2006 )

Dear Friends,
does any body has compared mobility shift of lamda DNA digsted with HindIII with of without phenol chloroform treatment.
I am facing a prominent mobility shift.
what i did is I have digested lambda DNA with HindIII but had not given phenol choloroform treatment.
Now it is not working as a accurate marker.

are you certain? I have never performed a p/c after the digestion, I just put it at 4C, and there has never been a problem?
